Going away on holiday?
Away on business?
Rachel is a full-time professional Cat Sitter who established Portsmouth Cat Sitting in 2002, and offers Portsmouth and Southsea (PO1 to PO5) residents a personalised service to look after your cat or cats while you are away from home.
Why chose Rachel as your cat sitter?
Why distress your cat by an unnecessary stay at a cattery?
As well as visiting them regularly in their own home, I also cater to your cats specific needs & habits as per your instructions, though I don’t apologise if they get ‘over-loved by Auntie Rachel’ while you are away
- Special diets – no problem – even if you have multiple cats with different needs
- Medication – I am experienced in giving medication and will tailor my visits for these requirements
- Purrsonal Care – eg, brushing, sun protection & hygiene as required
- Aged cats – sometimes need a little more time, company & gentle attention
- Contact with your own vet – I already know many of the local vets so contacting them with any issues on your behalf is not a problem.
You have the assurance of knowing your cat is receiving the loving care of someone with over 15 years experience, that has the recommendation of most veterinary practices in Portsmouth and Southsea, including The Cat Clinic, where I have previously worked for over 3 years in the past.
I can also keep an eye on your property & give it that ‘lived in’ look, by arrangement I will also
- take in the post
- switch lights on & off, draw curtains, adjust thermostats
- put your bins out (and take them in)
- water house plants
I visit and care for your cats in their own home in Portsmouth or Southsea (Only PO1 to PO5 postcodes inclusive), I am fully insured and police checked for your peace of mind, as well as having references from happy clients available on request.
What areas do you cover?
Portsmouth & Southsea only
Postcodes PO1 to PO5 only
How much do you charge?
I give fully personalised quotes for a cat sitting solution that's tailored to you and your cat(s) but to give you an idea please see Pricing
How do I book Portsmouth Cat Sitting?
What times of day will you visit?
Again depending on you cats routine - some cats are fed twice a day, others only once - which is why I offer a personalised service to keep your cats happy.
How many days can I book you to visit?
As many as you need from as little as a weekend to a few weeks or longer as you require, make sure to book as early as you can, I quickly get fully booked at peak periods.
What will you actually do on a visit while I’m away?
I will care for you cats as if they were my own, putting food and fresh water out, cleaning out the litter tray, cleaning up any other things that happen with cats like hairballs, and generally make sure your loved cat is as healthy & happy as possible while you are away.
What about the security of my house?
I like to take keys at time of signing agreement, and to try the keys while I am there.
I will check around the house if required, and ensure everything is locked up when I leave.
I will always leave the house in the state I find it, and let you know if there are any problems, and will need notification of anyone else visiting the property while you are away for safety.
What if there’s an emergency with my cat or they are ill?
The Vets authorisation on the agreement means that I will take your cat to a vets, yours or the nearest open. My priority is taking care of your cat, then if you have consented I will try to contact you with information.
